Description

HydroClean® is an innovative wound dressing specifically developed for the treatment of dry, mildly, and moderately exuding wounds, particularly those with impaired healing potential. This hydroactive wound dressing is ideal for the cleansing and granulation phases of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. It contains a superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) embedded in cellulose and pulp fibers and activated with Ringer’s solution. HydroClean® releases Ringer’s solution to the wound for up to three days while simultaneously absorbing wound exudate, enabling continuous wound irrigation. The SAP in HydroClean® inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that interfere with wound healing, thereby reactivating the healing process in chronic wounds.
