100 g of solution contained: Medicially effective components: ethanol (100 %) 74.1 g, 2-propanol (Ph. EUR.) 10.0 g Other components: cleaned water (SoftSasept® n also colored povidon K 30, citronic acid, dyes Gelborange S (E 110) and Azorubin (E 122)).
application areas
Skin disinfection before surgical interventions, punctures and injections.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity (allergy) compared to ethanol, 2-propanol or (only stained at Softasept) one of the other components. Softasept® N is not suitable for the antiseptic of mucous membranes and for use in the immediate vicinity of the eyes.
Side effects
Especially with frequent use, skin irritation such as reddening and brenen can occur. Contact allergies are also possible.
Warnings
